The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, building its case entirely on British wool with three distinct layers that each perform a different job from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose for a soft feel against the skin while the viscose enhances durability in a fabric built for decades of use. A layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides initial give, encouraging air movement to moderate temperature through the night, followed by a deeper layer of British fleece wool that adds depth and resilience to prevent uneven compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, with each spring in its own calico pocket responding to weight independently for personalised support. Vanadium steel maintains its tension longer than standard carbon steel, delivering lasting performance across the range. Available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm, King sizes can be split at the centre for partners with different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching reinforce the border coils to the edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings in place to prevent lateral shift and preserve a consistently firm sleeping surface for years.
